Back in the summer of 2003, I teamed up with Steve Briggs, Frank Warwick, Bob Davis and Len Gurd to document a week-long session at the legendary Lac de St Cassien in the south of France. The quality of the film is a bit grainy compared to modern HD footage (it’s in 720), but the content is timeless and serves as a great introduction for anyone wanting to tackle the ‘grand lakes’ of Europe. Everything you need to know is covered, including locating the fish, choosing the right tackle and bait, echo-sounding, and getting your strategy right. We even catch a few stunning fish along the way! FOOTNOTE: It’s advisable to watch this film on a mobile device rather than a widescreen TV or monitor.
VIEWERS SHOULD ALSO NOTE THAT THIS FILM SHOWS ANGLERS OUT IN A BOAT WITHOUT LIFE-JACKETS. IN ACCORDANCE WITH MODERN DAY ANGLING GUIDANCE, LIFE-JACKETS SHOULD ALWAYS BE WORN WHEN USING A BOAT.
